It’s not impossibility but it’s not something I would stress about too much. There is always the threat that a big meteor or something will come, more realistically a polar shift, causing the Earth to roll, which would wreak havoc on most of our society for sure. There’s this small system harboring a planet nicknamed “Niburu” which could cause some definite gravitational havoc if it passes as close as some of the calculations claim… I’m not in correct global positioning to give you my scientific opinion on that…
Either way, it’s definitely not something you need to truly stress, because if it happens it does. Geologic activity is always something of a variable, just like countless other things like disease and famine. Or the unlikely possibility that a second coming of some robed hippy with a bad hat s gonna come out of some perfect dimension because people worship it… or whatever crazy ass no-brain nonsense bullcrap those freaks are on about. I dunno…I’d say I have a much better form of entertainment than that that I’m making in all honestly, the difference is I don’t condone that people worship a good story as reality. =/
If you’re interested in it, there are animals, some plants, and people being effected on an alternate Earth next door to our reality which are bent on destroying all life on the planet? Or maybe instead of the dark matter mutations called Xanthians I was just talking about, which adapt and can soon mutate like some creepy Resident evil shit but waaaaay meaner, perhaps you’re more the kind to celebrate the heroes? 6 human beings, who for reasons I’ll leave to ya’ll to find out become intertwined with a program that created all of THIS existence to defend from the Xanthian which has devoured all other existences. Their unison to the source allows them to tap into the energies of existence based upon "Oblivion’s" parameters and literally upgrade their evolution so drastically that Extrasensory and paranormal abilities can be literally programmed into their genetic code. Giving them very interesting super human abilities.

Well the mayans just stopped their calendar. Now, I’d worry if they had computers or something and could just run off another year in a few seconds but they DID have to carve it in stone. Chances are ANYONE would get sick of that at some stage and say "why am I here doing this rubbish for a time i haven’t even heard of?!?!?".
And they died out. that would put a dent in my calendar making too….
All that hysteria comes from the maya calender who just stops at the date 21/12 2012 so that’s why many thinks the world will end that day. BUT the calender also says that the earth was created 5000 years ago and thats not accurate, so no, it wont happen

In 2012, Yahoo! will augment its software so that any question with more than a certain number of punctuation marks will automatically be deleted.
The computer from which the question is sent will be infected with a virus.

There is no way that it’s going to happen, I mean people have predicted the end of the world so many times and it hasn’t happened, but on a side note a girl in my class bet someone $50 that 2012 would happen… think about it you’ll realise why she’s blonde.

it’s nothing serious. in 2012 the solar storm will be a little bit stronger. that will cause solar wind become stronger. that means charged a lot of particles and neutrinos will move to earth than ever. neutrino will do nothing. but the charged particles may disturb our radio communication system a little. that’s all. You’ll get a lot of those here, because the people who regularly attend this forum are SICK AND TIRED OF 2012 QUESTIONS.
There’s just so many of these 2012 questions, and if you search Y!A you’ll find something like 115 thousand hits about question on 2012. This is an ongoing hoax, and if the past history offers any suggestion it’ll be that this 2012 hoax will be recicled again after 2012. At some point, people just start becoming EXTREMELY SARCASTIC in their answers…
I guess the next big scare will be in 2029, when those people will say again that Apophis is really a huge planet and that it’ll hit the Earth — even though astronomers (including NASA) have been telling people that they know WITH EXTREME CERTAINTY that that asteroid is NOT going to hit the Earth in 2029. But the people who spread the 2012 scare and other hoaxes (like the 2003 big Mars hoax, which repeats every year) don’t care about those; they just like to scare children and adults and extort money from them. But maybe another hoax will become between 2012 and 2029, because that’s just too much time and more money can be made if you put some more pressing scare in the middle.
