People thought the world was going to end in the year 1000 (because supposedly the bible said that’s when the world would end). When that didn’t happen, they predicted the year 2000 (again because that’s what the bible said). When that didn’t happen, they predicted 06/06/06 (666). When that didn’t happen, they predicted 09/09/09 (666 upside-down). Now they’re predicting Dec. 21, 2012.
Why are people so obsessed with the world coming to an end?
@autumnsylver
People actually have an subconscious way of looking at everything as a sign, a hole to the other side, something supernatural, something ..Exiting! tragically they are, as you said.. they´re always wrong
@autumnsylver there is a VERY big difference between 1000 , 2000 and 2012… VERY BIG i mean do the 1000 and 2000 have something to do with our solar system completing a 26000 year cicle?? ( i’m not saying this is true.. not by far i’m just saying 2012 can’t be compared to any other doomsdaydate we’ve ever had.. the last 26000 years at least
The world ending in 2012 is based on the mayan calendar ending in 2012. How do you know that they just didn’t get a chance to finish it?
All doomsday prophecies are based on some sort of superstition, whether they’re based on the bible, the I ching or the Mayan calendar.
that’s what i’m saying even if it is coincidence or not 21 12 2012 is a VERY VERY importand astrological date.. that’s what captured me.. but well i’m not saying it’s going to end or not.. not even the maya’s said it was going to end they said the world as we know it is going to end.. if there is something we organisms on this ploaner have a neck for it’s surviving
I saw a documentary on the Discovery channel about the mayan calendar saying the world is going to end in 2012. They said that according to the Mayan calendar, the world has already ended several times. So, I think it’s not going to be a literal end of the world, but a drastic change.
And those “signs” are so nonspecific, that they match pretty much everything that has ever happened in the history of mankind.
The bible is just a story book written by men.
Numerous men wrote it over thousands upon thousands of years, but it is in perfect agreement with each other..the hand of God is over it all.
Did you know that it is used as a guide for archaeologists in the Holy Land, and much of what is shown in the bible is actually being found? But regardless, you can’t judge something you’ve never read.
In perfect agreement with each other? Are you kidding? There are hundreds of contradictions in the bible.
But I’m not interested in debating it with you because it could go on forever.
Only ’supposed’ contradictions that really do not exist at all, usually believed by those who really don’t know the bible…but that is a topic all its own and an extensive one at that*lol*
look at 6.6.6, or the date 06.06.06, then double it, you get
12.12.12, all you must do is turn 12 round in the middle and you get 12.21.12, the end date? well anyway why the middle number, middle numbers in mathematics are the so-called leader numbers, the numbers that hold the other no.s togheter, and when there turned around in mathematics, so is all the other numbers, so this states well overall, 12.21.12 will change all mathematics, and all maths affect the world, so will change the world!!
It better not end….i just got my flu shot xD
I think its going to be funny when everyone freaks out and shoplifts and destroy stuff and then they wake up 12/22/2012 feeling stupid.

@autumnsylver i agree, people are just desperate to prove their phobias.

@autumnsylver p.s all ur prediction that failed has something to do with the bible.. that says more about the bible then 2012 doesn’t it

@autumnsylver
The bible never gave any specific dates for the end of the world, it just gives prophecies of things to look for that marks the beginning of the end.
And those “signs” are so nonspecific, that they match pretty much everything that has ever happened in the history of mankind.
The bible is just a story book written by men.
@autumnsylver
Then you haven’t read the book of revelations or the books of Daniel and Ezekiel.
I don’t have to.
Do you really think that the hand of god came down from up in the clouds and wrote the book himself? No, MEN wrote it.
