Some have said that The Mayan calender ends in 2012 and have taken this as a "doomsday" scenario,in fact it doesn't. The Mayan calender is perpetual and only this cycle of it ends in 2012 then it starts again. The idea started with the Mayan calendar ending on Dec. 21, 2012 and now there's all sorts of ideas as to how we're all going to die. Planet X could hit us, an asteroid could hit us. There could be some crazy plague that kills everyone. The Sun explodes for no good reason (does it need one?). Pick your poison. It’s a little bit of everything.
