Many civilisations talk of "other worlds" and lands. The descriptions are vague and fantastical - all good qualities for story telling. I guarantee you that although "the records" don't currently say anything about where planet is located, if we did find another significant sized body in the solar system, someone would be able to look at the "records" and find something that identifies this planet exactly. I don't really think it's likely that we could have travelled from another planet and then have all traces of that technology - and the technology leading up to interplanetary travel - lost forever.
